We read everything that arrives here. Base64Deco is a small project, so a message that says which tool you were using and what you expected gets a useful answer fastest.
The tool behind this page is Base64Deco, a Base64 encoder and decoder. Questions usually involve encoding a token for an Authorization header or a number that came out differently than expected, and both are useful to hear about.
Our inbox is support@base64deco.com. We try to answer within two business days.
Include this
- A link to the page, or the name of the calculator you used.
- A rough version of the text or Base64 string you paste — we only need enough of it to redo the sum.
- The output you received against the output you expected.
- Device and browser, for anything that looked wrong on screen.
If your question is about embedding a data URI in a stylesheet, say so in the first line — it helps us find the right answer for Base64Deco faster.
Reporting an error in a result
For a developer tool, accuracy is the whole point. Because the Base64Deco tool works the way described on its own page — it encodes the bytes of the string in UTF-8 first and then groups them into 6-bit chunks for the Base64 alphabet, which is why non-ASCII text survives intact instead of becoming mojibake — a wrong answer almost always traces back to one assumption, an input that does not fit the model, or a rounding edge case. If you think you have found one, tell us the value you expected and which tool you used, and we will check it against the method.
